Gentle Support for Families Ready to Sleep Through the Night
With a background in psychology, early years education, and nurture-based support, over 10 years experience supporting families with sleep— and as a mum to two children and a baby — I know how exhausting and emotional sleep struggles can be! My approach is gentle, responsive, and rooted in real life. I help you understand your child’s needs, shift patterns with care, and build habits that actually work for your family. You don’t have to do this alone.
I’m Rosie Barber, I help families sleep through the night — gently, calmly and confidently!
Hello, is it sleep support your looking for?
Do you have a baby or child who struggles to fall asleep, battles bedtime or nap times, wakes multiple times during the night, or starts the day crushingly early?
Are you feeling exhausted, hopeless, or frustrated - wondering how you ended up here?
Spending your days desperately trying to get someone else to sleep so you can rest or get things done…
Your evenings spent trying for hours to settle them again…
And your nights getting up repeatedly or sharing your bed with a beautiful, wiggly, pointy starfish while your partner sleeps somewhere else?
Do you find yourself thinking, “Why won’t they sleep? Does it have to be like this? Is there another way?”
Well I have amazing news for you…THERE IS!!!
WHAT IF YOU COULD FEEL
calm and confident knowing your child consistently gets the sleep they need to connect, learn, grow, and explore
relieved to get your evenings, your bed, or your partner back!
relaxed because you can rely on their routine to give you time for self-care or at least a shower…
rested, focused, and energised after getting more sleep
like the positive, patient, peaceful parent you want to be
I HELP YOU
understand your baby or child’s sleep and avoid sleep problems
set your little one up for sleep success
confidently use gentle and effective sleep strategies, tools, and techniques to help your little one self-settle happily and sleep through the night
achieve your family’s ideal sleep scenario
fully enjoy life with sleep again
If you added up all the time you currently spend helping your baby sleep, how much would it be?
three hours a day? maybe even more? now imagine how much extra time you’d have if they happily self-settled in just a few minutes?
Gaining three hours a day is almost a whole extra day every week!
Imagine what you could do with all that time back?

After the call with Rosie and her running through the bespoke program she created for us, We felt so determined and ready
〰️
We were shocked at how quickly our daughter adapted and how calm we felt just after night 1!
〰️
I was emotionally drained and felt helpless. Rosie’s advice was immediately a revelation to us! I had heard such fantastic things about Rosie that I knew I just had to try it. It has literally changed our lives!
〰️
Ever since I spoke to Rosie on the phone I felt motiavated and empowered to make changes, which has definitly helped our family. We all get a better night sleep and aren't zombies in the day now (my husband and I both work full time) and have more fun as a family as a result
〰️
she has explained reasoning behind the advice which has built our confidence as parents and empowered us!
〰️
Rosie is professional, supportive and brilliant at what she does - we highly recommended her!
〰️
Rosie always made us feel listened too, we felt she took all of our concerns and values on board when helping us and was a delight to have in our home. Rosie's advice included the whole family and was always reassuring and sensitively delivered
〰️
I put off contacting a sleep consultant for ages because I assumed it would involve cry it out, which I didn’t want to do. It was such a relief to speak to Rosie on the phone. She was friendly, warm, positive and very reassuring. She also filled me with hope that good sleep was possible and not just a dream, and a determination that I could do it. Weirdly I was almost excited to start!

‘WHAT A TRANSFORMATION!’
‘Our baby was approaching 8 months and sleeping through the night seemed like an impossible dream. He was waking at night, hysterical at bedtime, refusing naps. His sleep had no consistency and no predictability. I’d read every book about sleep and still didn’t know what to do. I was obsessed with sleep and boring myself talking about it. After a particularly terrible week, a friend suggested we contacted Rosie. I am so glad we took her advice.
Rosie was so kind, reassuring and encouraging. Within 15 minute of speaking to her, I felt sure that things were going to change. And change they did! After 24 hours of following Rosie’s plan, our baby slept through the night. At the end of our week with Rosie, our baby was sleeping 7-7 and self settling without fuss at bedtime and naps. It’s so hard to believe how quickly things turned around.
We can’t thank Rosie enough for her help... I only wish we had contacted her sooner!’

We can never thank Rosie enough! For the past year I have been breastfeeding my baby to sleep and letting her use me as a human dummy for pretty much the whole night. We co-slept as we didn’t know where to start and how to break the association with feeding her to sleep.
Our nights were consumed of sitting quietly on the sofa not talking to each other whilst the baby slept on me until we went up to bed. Something had to change.
We had tried a routine back when she was 6m and it was awful. She screamed for hours on end. It wasn’t right.
Rosie listened to how we worked as a family and understood our concerns of not letting her cry for long periods of time. My boyfriend was super skeptical to start with and thought it was going to be horrific, so did I. But after the call with Rosie and her running through the bespoke program she created for us, we felt so determined and ready.
We were shocked at how quickly she adapted and how calm we felt just after night 1! The fact that I could liaise with Rosie throughout the first week gave us the added support and comfort when we had questions along the way.
We went from not having a life to now having our daughter in a bedtime routine. Mummy gets ‘me time’ during nap times and more importantly we’ve got our relationship back. And because of how well she is doing. Mummy is having her first night out and leaving daddy with the baby in over a year! This is something my boyfriend has dreamed of - being able to put his daughter to bed! Thank you Rosie. You really are a lifesaver!’/ HOLLY. C /

‘When I first contacted Rosie I had a 2 year old who had never slept through the night her whole life. I also had a 7 month baby who was showing signs of heading the same way. I was emotionally drained and felt helpless.
Rosie’s advice was immediately a revelation to us! I had heard such fantastic things about Rosie that I knew I just had to try it. It has literally changed our lives! Both children are now fed, bathed and in bed by 7pm every night. I get quite emotional when I talk about this because the continuous sleep deprivation over the past 2-3 years had left me feeling confused and like I was a bad mother.
The moment Rosie walked through our front door our children were immediately drawn to her friendly and engaging nature. She has a fantastically charming way with children. Rosie explained the new routine to my 2 year old in a way that made is sound super exciting and she couldn’t wait to go to bed!
We honestly haven’t looked back! Also her behaviour was also quite bad at the time which has now drastically improved.
Thank you so much Rosie you have changed our lives!’/ MEGAN. T /

‘I can't thank Rosie enough. Its hard to think back to where we were a few weeks ago...rocking our daughter to sleep for ages or feeding her to sleep, making several attempts to put her down in her cot. Eventually she would sleep but would wake in the middle of the night and be awake for hours on end even in our bed and waking early.
However now, our 15 month old daughter can self-soothe to sleep at night and is able to sleep through.
I was also struggling to drop the last breast feed I was doing but now my daughter happily drinks cows milk from a cup before her bath.
Ever since I spoke to Rosie on the phone I felt motivated and empowered to make changes, which has definitely helped our family.
We all get a better night sleep and aren't zombies in the day now (my husband and I both work full time) and have more fun as a family as a result.
I have also got my body back and a little more freedom as Daddy and others can but my daughter to bed now and not always me.
Rosie always responded to emails in a timely manner and even the little tips have made a huge impact. Rosie always explained everything well and it all made sense when I reflected on the information provided.
I will always be grateful for her support. Thank you so much.’

‘WE CANNOT RECOMMEND ROSIE HIGHLY ENOUGH!’
‘When we reached out to her one of us had been sleeping on the floor for months and our baby was crying and waking up all through the night in our bed.
We had reached our wits end and it was having a detrimental effect on our lifestyle, work and relationship with each other.
Within a day or two of putting her strategy into action he was sleeping in his own cot again and within a week sleeping all the night through and settling himself when he woke up!
We now have our evenings back and are more rested to be better parents during the day.
Thank you Rosie - you are our hero!’

‘Rosie's continued advice and support has been invaluable. We’ve been able to contact her at various periods of doubt and she has been reassuring and knowledgeable regarding our children's sleeping habits. She has not only provided effective techniques on how to get our children to sleep, but she has explained reasoning behind the advice which has built our confidence as parents and empowered us! Rosie is professional, supportive and brilliant at what she does - we highly recommended her!’

‘Thank you Rosie, I don't know what we would have done without you. As first time parents, we weren't sure what to do, but knew that the whole family getting a good night’s sleep was crucial to our survival! Rosie always made us feel listened too, we felt she took all of our concerns and values on board when helping us and was a delight to have in our home. Rosie's advice included the whole family and was always reassuring and sensitively delivered. We followed her advice for our family to the letter, and at 12 weeks old we had a baby that slept through the night (with a dreamfeed). I cannot express enough what a positive contribution her help made to our early days as a family.’

‘We heard of Rosie through a friends success story and boy am I pleased we did. I admit to being sceptical that my toddler might have been too old to change his sleep habits at 22 months, but Rosie's guidance and tailored plan have actually changed our lives.
My toddler is happier and we are happier, there's so much more laughter and energy in the house and that's all down to decent sleep!
Don't get me wrong our toddler really put us through the ringer getting used to the change, but we have stuck at it and the hard work has paid off.
We have gone from multiple night wakes (at times up to 3 hours) and unintentional co-sleeping (meaning that the our toddler was starfish in the middle of the bed with me and my husband clinging to the edges, invariably with a limb or two sticking in our backs) to my toddler going to bed in his room for the whole night 7pm - 7am!
I would really recommend the Premium Plan with support from Rosie, we definitely needed the support for the first week. Rosie is a warm and friendly person and an utter genius!! ‘

‘ROSIE IS TRULY A SLEEP WHISPERER!!!!’
‘Since Ruaridh was about 4 months old he woke through the night, came in to our bed, and I thought I would never get to sleep again! After countless numbers of tired nights, tired days I contacted Rosie @sleepthroughthenight and its one of the best decisions I've made!
Rosie is truly a baby whisperer!!!! She created the perfect plan for Ruaridh and within the first couple of days of his new sleep plan Ruaridh was sleeping 7pm-7am!!!!!
I now have my evenings back and i’m no longer waking 5-6 times during the night and exhausted the next day! Ruaridh self settles so well now and is so much happier from sleeping better!
Thank you so much Rosie, you have given us the gift of sleep and we are hugely grateful!’

‘We can’t thank Rosie enough. We’ve gone from hourly wake ups and rocking/ breast feeding to sleep to my son sleeping through the night, self soothing and napping in the day.
We were really worried that implementing a routine would mean a lot of tears (from me and baby) but it was such a gentle transition that we had all settled into it in a couple of days. By night 3 my son had slept through the night for the first time.
It was very calm throughout and we felt confident we knew what to do thanks to Rosie’s bespoke plan and advice over the phone.
The new routine means my son now has sufficient sleep which has made him the happiest little boy - which is a real joy to see!
We’re so grateful for Rosie’s help and would definitely recommend to a friend.’

‘I never thought it would be possible to get our little one to self-settle or sleep through the night, but with Rosie’s support and guidance she has made it a reality! Rosie’s advice is really clear and easy to follow, she is really reassuring and doesn’t push you to do anything you don’t comfortable with. It feels like we now have our lives back and a lot more freedom, I’d recommend Rosie to any of my friends!’

‘We are so grateful to Rosie at Sleep Through The Night!
Our 10 month old baby has gone from waking 3-4 times a night and getting up for the day at 5am to sleeping through the night in just a matter of days.
Rosie‘s advice and guidance has been invaluable and has given us the confidence to easily and simply help Ada learn to self-settle.
Thank you Rosie for helping us all get more sleep!’

‘WE JUST NEEDED A SLEEP FAIRY AND ONE NIGHT TO GET IT CRACKED’
‘Oh my goodness!!! We really are in the smug sleepers club. Firstly, I am so so sorry we haven't written your testimony yet. I keep trying to phrase the whole thing in my head so that it actually sums up what an incredible job you have done and then together we have forgotten or it hasn't sounded good enough. It will end up being waaaaay too long but here goes!... PLEASE feel free to edit as you see fit or use bits and bobs. Plaster it all over your social media pages!!!!! You really are magic!
We contacted Rosie (at a desperate 3.30 am) as our sleep pattern seemed to have spiralled out of the window, particularly when I returned to work. Baby H wanted to be cuddled constantly which was lovely but not healthy for any of us. I was also being used as a comforter. (I had been told too many times that formula was the way forward and a full tummy would make her sleep through the night. I knew this wasn't true and that she was getting enough from me, she just wanted comfort. I was so happy to hear from Rosie that I had been right all along and was relieved that I had stuck with my instinct!) It was having a huge affect on sleep and emotions.
Things seemed to be going so well with sleep when she was born and I felt embarrassed that we were asking for help at 10 months! There was no need to feel embarrassed and Rosie was so approachable and understanding.
The most important part... we spoke to our 'sleep fairy' to explain the issues we were having. Rosie put a plan in place and sent it to us. She then spent over an hour explaining it to us and answering all sorts of random questions. It seemed quite rigid to begin with but as it was created so personally, it has become so natural to us.
We implemented the plan for a week and then caught up with Rosie again for further information. We will admit, we were a little sceptical about how quickly or even if things would work but now, we really have joined the smug sleepers club. From night one (yes one night!!!) Baby H learned to self- settle (a word that used to make me cringe when I heard it) and on the second night she slept through from 7 - 7. This has continued to happen every night since. Because the adjustments were so simple and easy though, it turns out we didn't need time/to support each other we just needed a sleep fairy and one night to get it cracked!!!
Thank you so much for making me feel human again! We can't thank you enough. Your bubbly persona made us feel comfortable and ready for the change.
And I haven't even listed the amazing results yet....We thought we had a very happy baby but now she is incredibly happy, calmer in the morning, calmer before and after her naps. She is eating and drinking bottles consistently. We used to try and have a calm bedtime routine with massage etc but Baby H was so hungry and tired after the bath that she would just scream the house down... now it is a joy! The life skill she has learned has made a huge difference to us all.
Thank you for helping us feel so confident about sleep and what is right for our baby. We felt like we learned so much just within a few nights and feel so much more confident and healthy now that we can all sleep.’

‘After nearly 6 months of appalling daytime and night time sleep I finally reached my limits and got in touch with Rosie to help... I'm SO glad I did. I needed a plan and a cheerleader to help me implement it... Rosie provided both: a much needed pep talk and a fantastic plan for us to follow. Within days Ava's sleep was totally transformed, she is thriving under her new routine. She is content and well rested and now sleeps through the night.
Rosie listened to all my concerns, talking me through the sleep theory and how to respond to Ava in different circumstances which gave me the confidence to stick to the plan and help Ava to learn to settle herself with very little fuss.
I was astonished at how quickly Ava embraced the new routine and how effective it was in totally transforming her sleep patterns’

‘We worked with Rosie to get our 18 month old to sleep through the night. Rosie and her sleep plan were amazing! We went from 5 wake ups + per night to a toddler that slept through the night after just three days of following her sleep strategy.
Our home life has totally changed, we now have a happy toddler and so much more time on our hands in the evenings, not to mention many more hours of sleep each night. I can't recommend Rosie enough!’

Thanks so much for your help, I really didn’t expect things to improve so quickly! And I feel confident that we can keep it going (didn’t expect to be saying that a few weeks ago)!

‘ROSIE HAS BEEN THE MOST UNDERSTANDING, CONSIDERATE, GENTLE, SUPPORTIVE WOMAN AND I COULD NOT RECOMMEND HER ENOUGH’
My partner and I were overwhelmed trying to practice the frequently conflicting advice from a range of healthcare professionals and social media, when our son was in the early weeks of his life, we were trying to do things "perfectly" ...ha!
We were reluctant to contact a sleep consultant out of fear that it was too soon for sleep training or a routine would be harder than the unmanageable situation we were in.
We were incredibly relieved when we discovered that both us and our son loved the routine and sleep plan and could not believe (and still can't believe) how revolutionary and quick the changes were.
He was not only quickly sleeping well but also very contented as he had all of his basic needs anticipated and met.
Rosie's holistic methods are so much more than just sleep!
He is now 10 months old and has been sleeping through the night for about 6 months.
Rosie has been the most understanding, considerate, gentle, supportive woman and I could not recommend her enough. The service she provides is priceless!

FAQs
1. How do I know if I need a sleep consultant?
If you're running on caffeine and hope and sleep is a daily struggle — I’ve got you. Whether it’s bedtime battles, frequent wake-ups, or just needing a solid plan, I’m here to help make sleep less stressful.
2. What ages do you work with?
I work with newborns to kids around age 10 (and exhausted parents of any age, of course). Sleep challenges look different at every age, so we tailor everything to the needs of your child.
3. Will this involve "cry it out" or "controlled crying"?
Nope. I take a gentle, responsive approach. We’ll find a method that works for you and your child, emotionally and practically. Will there be any crying? A little, probably — and I totally get how hard that is. Crying is how babies and toddlers communicate, especially when there’s change and when they are tired! And it feels a million times worse at 3am. I’ll guide you through a plan that feels respectful, responsive, and right for your child — and I’ll support you through it too. You're not doing this alone.
4. How long does it take to see results?
Most families start seeing changes within a few days, but every child is different. The more consistent and confidently you implement your plan, the more secure your child will feel and the quicker you will experience the changes, I’ll be with you step-by-step so you’re never doing it alone.
5. What if I’ve tried everything already?
Yep — it’s frustrating and exhausting. Let’s talk. I’ll take a fresh look, simplify things, and come up with a plan that actually fits your family. And you can tell me the weirdest ”Get your baby to sleep with this one hack” you saw on social media that didn’t work!
6. Do you work virtually or in person?
I mostly work virtually so I can support families wherever they are, but if you're local or would prefer, we can chat about in-person options too.
7. What’s your process like?
We’ll start with a free phone consult where I get to know your sleep situation and goals. If you want to go ahead, it’s simple and supportive from start to finish:
Pick Your Sleep – Choose the level of support that fits your family best.
Book Your Consultation – Once you’ve purchased, schedule your one-hour online session with me.
Fill Out the Sleep Questionnaire – This helps me get to know your little one and what how things are currently going.
Get Your Custom Plan – I’ll send you a personalised sleep plan as a PDF before our call so you have time to review it.
Consultation & Follow-Up – We will use the plan as a framework for your consultation, tailor it to your family, and schedule your follow-up a week later.
Support Along the Way – Depending on your plan you will have access to support via messaging, phone calls and ‘Rosie’s Collection’ of Trouble-Shooting Guides
I’ll guide you every step of the way — no guesswork, no overwhelm. Just a plan that works for your child and real support for you.
8. Is sleep training safe?
Yes — when it’s done gently, with care, and in a way that’s right for your child’s age and emotional needs. I don’t actually use the term sleep training — it makes it sound like your baby is doing something wrong and needs to be “fixed.” But the truth is, you're already teaching them about sleep right now — whether you're feeding to sleep, rocking, or driving them around at 2am. That is sleep learning, just with different habits. My approach is all about understanding your child’s needs, gently shifting their expectations around sleep, and supporting you through that change. The effect is better sleep, but the process is grounded in connection, trust, and responsiveness. With a background in psychology, early years teaching, nurture work, and real-life experience as a parent of two kids and a baby, I’m always focused on what feels emotionally safe, respectful, and right for your little one. I deeply understand how important it is to approach sleep with empathy and balance. My focus is always on connection, comfort, and using evidence-based strategies that feel right for your family.
9. When is the best time to start?
When you feel ready. There’s no perfect age — it’s more about when you’re feeling supported enough to make a change. Whether your baby is 4 days old or your toddler’s running the bedtime show, we can work with where you’re at. If you’re exhausted or over it and what you’re doing isn’t working anymore, that’s a great time to start. It’s never too early, it’s never too late. And you don’t have to do it alone — I’ve got you.
Yeah of course you’d say that — ok what’s the easiest time to start?
Easy is subjective and every baby is different! But I would say it’s between 4 - 6 months there is a sweet spot. Babies are sleeping in more predictable sleep cycles, they adapt to new rhythms really quickly, not so old that they have to learn ingrained unhelpful habits, but before the 6 month developmental and growth leaps that can affect settling and sleep. Unless you have put in the work before and you just glide through so called ‘sleep regressions!
10. How do I get started?
Easy! Book a free 20 minute call. We’ll chat about what’s going on and how I can help.
